Dalton Kajs is a licensed Texas attorney focused on criminal defense, client communication, and practical courtroom preparation. Before joining BRCK, Dalton managed a full Hays County criminal caseload from intake through final disposition, giving him hands-on experience with the pressure, pace, and responsibility of guiding clients through the criminal justice system.
His work has included conducting client consultations, reviewing and analyzing evidence, negotiating with prosecutors, preparing cases for pretrial hearings and trial settings, drafting and arguing motions, and appearing in court for contested proceedings and plea negotiations. Dalton understands that people facing criminal charges are often dealing with one of the most stressful moments of their lives, and he works to make sure clients feel informed, prepared, and supported throughout the process.
Dalton earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he served as a staff writer for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice. He also worked as a research assistant studying state constitutional criminal procedure, with a focus on bail procedure and pretrial rights.
